Jill B. Curran joined Semple
Bixel Associates, Inc. in 1989. She currently serves as a subcontractor for the firm. She currently manages a $2 million capital
campaign for the McAuley School for Exceptional Children, Watchung, NJ and a $1.5 million major gifts campaign for the South
Brunswick YMCA. Prior to this she managed a $7.5 million capital campaign for Saint Joseph High School, Metuchen NJ. Her experience
includes capital campaign management, feasibility studies, fundraising workshops, writing projects and prospect research.
Ms. Curran
guides non-profit organizations in the establishment of development office procedures, including record keeping methods. She
also has extensive experience in donor base development, volunteer recruitment and coordination as well as individual, foundation,
and corporate research.
Her accomplishments include:
- Directed, organized, and executed all aspects of a $7.5 million
capital campaign
for Saint Joseph High School. This included creating the Development Council and
recruiting a steering
committee of 150 members and a capital campaign cabinet
committee exceeding 75 members.
- Enhanced the current development program at Saint
Joseph High School, which
has increased its annual fundraising from $100,000 to $275,000.
- Implemented and completed a $1.5 million capital campaign for the Summit Free
Public Library.
- Conducted feasibility studies
and implemented fundraising efforts, including annual
fund programs and capital campaigns, for a variety of nonprofit
organizations including
The Glen Ridge Library, Highland Park Library, and St. Vincent Martyr Parish.
Ms. Curran is a co-founder of the Clark Education Fund, Inc. established
to support and enhance the educational programs of the Clark Public School District. She is currently president of the Clark
Board of Education, and is also a member of the Association for Fundraising Professionals (AFP), New Jersey Chapter.
She received her B.A. from Montclair State University.
