Kevin
Moriarty brings over 37 years of philanthropic and public relations experience to the firm of Semple Bixel. He has
successfully directed fundraising projects for hospitals, a private secondary school, a college and inner-city scholarship
programs.
He was the executive director of the Scholarship Fund for the Inner City Children in New Jersey for 16
years. While there he funded 33,000 scholarships and raised over $20 million. Prior to
that he handled development and community relations for St. Mary’s Hospital in Orange, NJ for 10 years. He
is also part of a small team that raised more than $15 million for St. Benedict’s Prep in Newark, NJ over the past two
years. In 1972, he began his non-profit career as the Director of Development of St. Peter’s College
in Jersey City, NJ where he conducted his first capital campaign. He has served as the publications editor
for the New York Chapter of the American College of Health Care Association since 1978.
Mr. Moriarty recently
completed a historic capital campaign for Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale, PA that raised $3 million for capital renovations. He
has also taken part in several feasibility studies for Semple Bixel including Warren Hospital, Union Catholic High School,
Somerset Hills Handicapped Riding Center and South Brunswick YMCA.
Mr. Moriarty is a graduate of St. Benedict’s
Prep, St. Peter’s College and he has an M.B.A. in Marketing from Rutgers University. He is a talented
writer and respected speaker and organizer. He resides in Little Falls with his wife, Suzan, who is the
president of Montclair Property Management.
