Fund-Raising Fundamentals WorkshopFor twenty years, the Fund-Raising Fundamentals course, co-sponsored by Semple Bixel Associates, Inc. and the Association of Fundraising Professionals New Jersey Chapter, Inc., has educated hundreds of individuals in effectively planning, organizing, managing and evaluating a wide-ranging fundraising program.

The ten information-packed sessions will help you  advance the mission of your organization through a more thorough understanding of essential fundraising principles. A dynamic, experienced faculty will lecture and lead discussions on
proven techniques that get results.

  • Participants may enroll for the entire course or take single sessions. Space is limited, so sign up today!

  • Those who attend the full course will receive a comprehensive study guide, which will include outlines, handouts, helpful hints, and samples.  Single session attendees can purchase study guides for $25.00

  • Certificates will be awarded to full time participants at the end of the program

  • A limited number of corporate scholarships are available to small nonprofit organizations with operating budgets under $500,000.  Applications are available to those who qualify

Jumpstart Program

A unique program designed by Robert Semple, noted expert and founder of Semple Bixel Associates.  Jumpstart Program provides fund-raising technical assistance, in a group setting, for six to eight organizations.  Participating organizations will benefit not only from technical assistance but also from the opportunity to address common issues and learn from one another.  

Consisting of 1 half-day orientation session and five half-day workshop sessions, the Jumpstart Program is conducted over a 60 day time period.  Topics of instruction include: 

  • Philanthropy Today – gift sources, issues and trends

  • The Fund Raising Development Process – components of a successful plan

  • Fund Raising Support Elements – case for support, prospect research and public relations

  • Fund Raising Techniques – direct mail marketing, telemarketing, planned giving and special events and more

  • Organizational Campaign Structure – annual and capital and comprehensive

  • Board’s Role & Responsibility
